Dublin Shopping Centers

Welcome to the Dublin Shopping Centres Section, in which we provide information on shopping centres in Dublin city. When you hear about Dublin, shopping might not be the first thing you'll hear about. But Dublin isn't all about pubs and history, there is also a fine selection of shops and shopping centres where you can spend your time...and money.

Like most most capital cities, Dublin has most of the world's top shops and brand names. Also as Dublin city is so compact, all of these shops are a short walk from each other. In the city-centre the shopping centres are located right beside the main shopping streets.

If visiting Dublin, here is information on where to go shopping...

If you want to go out shopping in the city centre, once you get into the city centre the two main shopping centres are within about a 20 minute walk of each other. They are located on opposite sides of the River Liffey. On the northside of the River Liffey the main shopping centre is The Jervis Shopping Centre which is on Henry Street and Jervis Street. There is also the Ilac Shopping Centre which is on Henry Street. On the southside the main shopping centre is the Stephens Green Shopping Centre (pictured above) which is at the top of Grafton Street and across from Stephens Green. The Jervis Shopping Centre: The Jervis Shopping Centre is at present the largest shopping centre in the city-centre. It is three floors, the first two which are all shops, and the third which is for fast food restaurants. Some of the shops in the centre are Marks and Spencers, Next, Dixons, Debenhams, Argos and Top Shop. It is located in the are surrounded by Jervis St, Mary St, Henry St and Liffey St. You can visit the official site here

The Ilac Shopping Centre: The Ilac Shopping Centre is the oldest shopping centre in the city-centre. It is located on Henry Street and is a large single story comlplex which contains many shops. The shops include Dunnes Stores, Roches Stores, Champion Sports, Jack and Jones, Argos and many more..

Stephens Green Shopping Centre: Like the Jervis Shopping Centre, the Stephens Green Shopping Centre is one of the newer large and modern shopping centres in the city centre. It spans three floors, with the top two circling around and overlooking the ground floor. The main shops are Benetton, TkMax, Dunnes Stores, Argos, Lifestyle Sports and Golden Discs. The Square Shopping Centre: The Square Shopping Centre in Tallaght was the first large shopping mall / centre to spring up in Dublin. The Square Shopping Centre or the 'Square', gets its name from its shape, which is of course a large square. It is spread over three large floors and contains a large number of shops including Roches Stores, Argos, Dunnes Stores, Champion Sports, Lifestyle Sports and many more. There is also a UCI Cinema in the Shopping Centre.

The Blanchardstown Shopping Centre: The Blanchardstown Centre in Blanchardstown is the largest shopping centre in the country. The shopping centre spans two floors and four wings. There is also a huge retail park surrounding the shopping centre with many more shops, a gym, a library two disco bars and a leisure plex with bowling and quasar. Shops in the centre include Dixons, Argos, Penney's, Dunnes Stores, Clery's and many more.There is also a UCI Cinema in the Shopping Centre. You can visit the official shopping centre site here.

Dundrum Shopping Centre: The Dundrum shopping centre is the newest and largest shopping centre in the city. At present it is only half done but when completed it will be the largest shopping centre in Europe. At present it has a cinema, restaurants, bars, a nightclub, a medical centre and of course plenty of shops. Dundrum is located on the south city and can be reached by the Luas in under 15 mins from the city-centre.

Liffey Valley Shopping Centre: The Liffey Valley Shopping Centre is the newest of the new large shopping malls in the city. It spans one single floor, with a second floor gallery just for restaurants, and has the largest square footage of any shopping centre in the country. It is smaller that Blanchardstown only because it only has one floor. Like Blanchardstown there is also a retail park beside the shopping centre which includes even more shops. There is also a new bar 'The Arc' which has recently opened. The shops in the shopping centre include Envy, Top Shop, Next, Eason's, Dunnes Stores, Marks and Spencers, Boots, Virgin and many more.
